Blood Flow Restriction (BFR)

Ready to train smarter?
Recover Faster. Rebuild Stronger. Perform Smarter.
At Fit2Perform, we offer Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) Training - a cutting-edge tool in both rehabilitation and athletic performance. Whether you’re recovering from injury or aiming to elevate your strength and endurance, BFR allows you to train smarter, recover faster, and achieve more, without the stress of heavy loads.
We provide BFR as:
An integrated part of physical therapy sessions
A supervised, self-pay option for performance optimization
How it Works
-
At Fit2Perform, we utilize industry-leading technology from Owens Recovery Science to deliver evidence-based, cutting-edge rehabilitation and performance outcomes.
Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training involves the strategic use of a specialized cuff system to partially restrict venous blood flow from the working limb while maintaining arterial inflow. This creates a physiological environment similar to high-intensity training even while using light weights (20–30% of your 1-rep max).
By simulating the stress of heavy lifting at low loads, BFR stimulates:
Muscle hypertrophy (growth)
Strength and endurance gains
Hormonal responses beneficial to recovery
Improved vascular and neuromuscular health
-
BFR is a powerful tool for a wide range of individuals, including:
Post-operative patients recovering from ACL repair, rotator cuff surgery, or joint replacements
Athletes rehabbing injuries without the risk of overloading the healing tissue
Performance-driven clients looking to add intensity without excessive joint strain
Joint pain or arthritis patients who cannot tolerate heavy lifting
Busy professionals who want to maximize results in minimal time
Weekend warriors and fitness enthusiasts who want a performance edge
Research consistently shows that BFR can accelerate strength recovery and muscle regrowth even in those who are unable to tolerate traditional resistance training!

In-Session BFR Therapy:
Integrated into your physical therapy treatment plan under the close supervision of our licensed clinicians.Supervised BFR Performance Training (Self-Pay Option):
For athletes and active individuals, we offer customized BFR sessions outside of traditional therapy. These sessions are supervised by a certified specialist to ensure optimal form, progress, and safety.
This self-pay service is ideal for:
Enhancing off-season or in-season training
Complimenting post-rehab performance return-to-play plans
Building strength in previously injured areas without joint stress
-
BFR treatments are performed using the Delphi Personalized Tourniquet System, recognized as the gold standard in BFR devices. Our therapists are trained in evidence-based, safe treatment protocols. Prioritizing safety and accurate dosing, we ensure optimal results while minimizing risk.
